USAID’s TB Innovations and Health Systems Strengthening (TBIHSS) Project, led by FHI 360 and in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), wins big during the recently concluded 58th Anvil Awards, which is the symbol of excellence in public relations. The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) awarded 2 Silver Anvil Awards to USAID’s TBIHSS for the health campaigns on “Tanggal Bacteria Power” and #TBFreePh.

Congratulations to USAID Philippines and the Department of Health for winning not just one but two Silver Anvil Awards for the campaigns, “Tanggal Bacteria Power” and #TBFreePh! The awards were given during the 58th Anvil Awards at Mariott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

During the recently concluded 58th *Anvil Awards, the USAID, through its implementing partner FHI 360, was recognized for the 2 campaigns crafted and implemented for the Department of Health’s Tuberculosis Program.

The first winning campaign is dubbed as, “Tanggal Bacteria Power: Re-branded TB Preventive Treatment (TPT),” which is an integrated advocacy campaign on TPT that addresses client’s hesitancy on TPT. The campaign has significantly increased the TPT enrollment from December 2021 to December 2022, recording six times the number of enrollees compared to previous year. The second campaign, #TBFreePh, is a social behavior change communication campaign implemented in Cebu City. This campaign aims to improve the Healthy Behaviors of TB Care among persons affected with COVID-19.

* Anvil Awards is the most prestigious Public Relations award giving body in Ph. The ANVIL is the symbol of Excellence in PR. It is awarded to outstanding public relations programs in the Philippines.
