USAID and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) gathered more than 70 participants of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for the Training of Supervisors on the Family Development Session (FDS) on Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness. Dubbed as, “Sama-sama: TBFree Pamilya,” this first of the three trainings was conducted in Olongapo CIty for the Luzon Cluster and will be subsequent to the Visayas and Mindanao clusters.

Facilitated by USAID’s TB Innovations and Health Systems Strengthening (TBIHSS) Project, the training utilized job aids and communication materials on TB prevention designed for beneficiaries of the government’s conditional cash transfer program. In line with the World TB Day Celebration in March, the FDS session on TB aims to reach approximately 4 million 4Ps members by December 2023 with critical health-seeking behaviors to prevent the spread of TB in communities.
